Benefits of Your Contribution:

Naturally, we welcome contributions of any size, big and small. Beyond knowing you are helping to ensure a diverse and colorful literary landscape, you will also receive other benefits when you contribute. Unless you prefer to donate anonymously, we like to celebrate our donors by including your names in our catalog and on our Website. We will keep you up to date with all the latest Sarabande news, including our annual newsletter and notification of other special events and happenings. You will also receive special invitations to Sarabande readings and celebrations in your area. Donors who graciously give $100 or more will receive a Sarabande publication twice each year, one in the summer and another close to the holiday season

Additional Special Giving Opportunities:

*We're happy to report the formation of the Sarabande Circle, an organization of individuals committed to making Kentucky and its surrounding areas a strong center for literary excellence. Through their financial and personal involvement in Sarabande Books, members of the The Sarabande Circle help advance the publishing of authors of extraordinary talent while furthering public awareness of literature and new works of literary merit.

Membership in The Sarabande Circle entails:

  • A commitment to excellence in the literary arts and the cultivation and education of reading audiences.
  • Support of events that raise understanding and awareness of authors and their works.
  • Assistance with expanding individual membership in the Circle.
  • A financial contribution of a minimum of $2500 ($500 each year for five years) that supports these efforts and ensures the programs and future of Sarabande Books to publish and promote these works to an ever-expanding audience.

This exceptional commitment within The Sarabande Circle will be recognized though special invitations to all Sarabande events and listings in Sarabande publications. Other considerations specifically for members will include special limited edition publications as well as invitations to Sarabande Circle seminars, workshops, lectures, and gatherings designed to bring members closer to their commitment to literary excellence.

*We're happy to report that Sarabande has opened a brokerage account at PNC Bank and is now able to accept your stock donation. Board member Jean West inaugurated the fund with 100 shares of Belo, the parent company of WHAS. If you are interested in supporting Sarabande this way, please contact Sarah Gorham at sgorham@sarabandebooks.org or call 502-458-4028.

*The $10,000 Underwriter level is an extraordinary opportunity to underwrite a forthcoming collection of poetry or short fiction from Sarabande Books.

*We also give high recognition to our Legacy givers who include Sarabande in their estate plans. If you would like information on placing Sarabande Books in your will, please contact Nickole Brown, Director of Development, at (502) 458-4028.
